May 15:
Advisory Council and International CO Day

The Center on Conscience & War holds its annual Advisory Council Meeting on May 15,  International Conscientious Objector day.

This year we will meet at the Friends Meeting of Washington, DC, 2111 Florida Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20008 at noon for lunch and fellowship followed by a short program at 1 p.m.

On the program this year will be Josh Stieber, newly discharged as a CO from the Army.  Josh is a remarkable young man who, just 20, has already seen more while being deployed to Iraq than most will see in their life times.  Update on Mandatory National Service, reform to the Selective Service rules and manuals, and the exciting program scheduled for November 15 and 16 at Riverside Church in New York City to promote the Military CO Act will also be discussed.

Please join us.  Let us know if you think you will be coming so an appropriate amount of food can be ordered.

Yours for Peace and Justice,

J. E. McNeil
Executive Director
